An Albuquerque native and Greater LA transplant, Casari always had a fascination for haircare, hair rejuvenation, and so on. Graduating summa cum laude from UCLA in Nursing, she stayed in LA to work as an OBGYN at Little Company of Mary Hospital where doing her friends’ hair became more than just a hobby. To ensure she had the financial backing to jumpstart her “come-to-you” haircare business, the word of mouth from her nursing and UCLA community helped to scale her clientele but she remained disciplined in working 3 12-hour shifts a week to have the flexibility needed to be successful. Since Casari Iman’s inception in 2012, the 13 year-old, 1-employee operation boasts over 50 regular clients across the LA area with an average retention of 5.5 years.
